Punjab Universities on Alert After Campus Unrest

PUNJAB: Student protests and the circulation of unverified claims have led to heightened attention and security at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, and Chitkara University.

At LPU, regular classes have been suspended for 10 days and an SIT is investigating the incident. At Chitkara University, classes have also been suspended following protests.

Authorities have urged students to rely on verified information and official communications rather than unverified claims circulating on social media.

Free Ink Post will continue to follow the developments and distinguish verified information from claims circulating online.
